COVID-19 Operating Procedure

We ask all guests to comply with any current national COVID-19 guidelines and follow the instructions of Temple Basin staff.

Temple Basin Policy for Day-Trippers

Should you experience any COVID-19 related symptoms or have been exposed to a positive case immediately prior to your visit, please stay at home. If you fall sick during or immediately after your visit, please notify us.

A full refund will be given for COVID-19 related cancellations, minus a 10% admin fee.


Arrival: Goodslift
You should bring gear to be self sufficient – our lodges will be unavailable to you (see below)
Please use the QR code and scan in when dropping your gear at the goods lift.
Wear a mask when you drop your gear off and maintain a 2m distance from staff and other parties at the goodslift
The goodslift will operate at normal times


Arrival: Lodge
The main lodges are not available for day trippers.
Lockwood shelter is available as a base and toilet facility (red building, nearest the goodslift). This is a day-use shelter, masks must be worn inside and a 2m distance must be maintained between yourself and other groups.
Scan into Lockwood shelter via the QR code.
Your lift ticket can be purchased inside ski hire in the TOP lodge (Ferrier lodge). Ski Hire can only be accessed via the deck facing Temple tow. A mask must be worn while inside and 2m distancing maintained.
Snacks, hot drinks, and water will be available through the outdoor bar window.


While Skiing:
Bring your own nutcracker and harness if you have one (they are also for sale at ski hire, all profits support local ski bums).
A 2m distance must be maintained in lift queues.
Face covering must be worn in the lift queues.
