All are welcome to ski and ride at Temple Basin, an ungroomed skier & snowboarder’s paradise located on the main divide of New Zealand’s Southern Alps, in Arthur’s Pass National Park. Temple Basin is a not-for-profit charity organisation, with a mission of facilitating recreation and education in the mountains. People come to meet others, enjoy the friendly environment and fantastic terrain. Many leave raving about the best skiing and boarding experience of their lives.
Temple Basin is not just for the extreme either, it’s a family-friendly field accessible from both Christchurch and the West Coast. A 45 minute hike from the main highway brings you to warm and comfortable ski-in, ski-out accommodation.
